Working with us
Are you authorised to represent clients before IRCC?
Yes. Our principal consultant, Hari Krishan Ghai, is a Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) licensed by and in good standing with the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants (CICC). Only RCICs, Canadian lawyers and Quebec notaries may legally charge a fee for immigration representation. You can verify any licence on the
CICC public register.
Do you provide online consultations and services?
Yes. Most of our clients never need to visit the office. We consult by phone, WhatsApp and video call, and our secure client portal lets you upload documents, sign forms and track your case from anywhere in the world.
How much do your services cost?
We don’t publish set prices because no two cases are the same: your immigration history, family members, deadlines and any previous refusals all affect the work involved. After a free initial assessment, our RCIC gives you a written, fixed professional fee for your specific case, set out in a retainer agreement before any work begins. IRCC government fees, biometrics, medical exams and language tests are extra and are paid directly to those providers.
Is the initial assessment really free?
Yes. Complete our contact form or call us and we will review your situation and tell you which programmes you may qualify for, at no cost. If you choose to proceed, fees are agreed in writing before any work begins.
What is the client portal?
After your assessment, we create a secure portal account for you. It gives you a personalised document checklist for your case, lets you upload documents directly (no more emailing passports), shows the status of each document and of your overall application, and keeps all messages from your consultant in one place.
Applications & refusals
My application was refused. Can you help?
Refused applications are a large part of our practice. We obtain the officer's notes (GCMS/ATIP), identify exactly why the application failed and prepare a substantially stronger re-application that addresses each concern. Where a refusal is legally unreasonable we can also advise on reconsideration requests and refer you for judicial review.
How long does processing take?
Processing times vary widely by programme and country and change frequently. IRCC publishes current estimates on its website, and we will give you a realistic timeline at your assessment. Our part — preparing and submitting a complete application — is typically done within 1–3 weeks of receiving your documents.
Can I work while my extension is being processed?
If you apply to extend your work or study permit before it expires, you benefit from “maintained status” and may continue working or studying under the same conditions until IRCC decides. If your permit has already expired, you must stop working and apply for restoration within 90 days.
Do I need a language test?
For Express Entry, most PNP streams and the PGWP, yes — IELTS General, CELPIP, PTE Core, or TEF/TCF for French. For study permits, visitor visas and sponsorship, a test is not always required but may strengthen the application. We will tell you exactly what your programme needs.
Can my spouse and children come with me?
Often, yes. Spouses of eligible workers and students may qualify for an open work permit, and dependent children can accompany you as visitors or students. Rules for spousal permits tightened in 2025, so we assess each family member's eligibility individually.
Privacy & security
How do you protect my documents and personal information?
Documents uploaded to the client portal are transmitted over HTTPS and stored outside the public web directory, accessible only to you and authorised Aasaan Global staff after login. We do not share your information with any third party except IRCC and the institutions or employers involved in your application, and only with your consent. See our
Privacy Policy.
Will you guarantee my visa?
No licensed consultant can guarantee a decision — decisions are made solely by IRCC officers, and CICC rules prohibit guarantees. What we guarantee is an honest assessment, a complete and professionally prepared application and transparent communication throughout.
